You’ll find Lyme Disease is a rangy tough old bird
An unpleasurable situation that’s not well heard
A mystery ailment that “doesn’t even occur”
To doctors and nurses it seems quite absurd
A real scary sickness that gradually creeps forth
But more for people somewhere east or up north
Tingles and jangles with numbness and fog
Cell-socked and mood-rocked with dumbness and bog
In the quagmire swirl dangerous co-minglers
Borellia, babesia, baboons and bah-linglers
Sneaking and peaking, they step up to the plate
Hit out of the park – not happenstance or fate
Nausea, numbness, pain, out the team trots
Cause the whole group to see nothing but spots
First left foot, then right foot and brainwaves start jerking
In each cell and organ – Lyme disease spurts lurking
Do you remember the normal Bob, Jimbo and Jane?
Well now they have all gone mostly insane
With a terrible case of undiagnosed Lyme brain
Somewhere inside I have a sneaky health-glitched hunch
And will wake up wondering why I can’t find my lunch
Car keys found in freezers, vital paperwork is lost
Hey, I’m doing my best here just don’t tell my boss
The maps not yet drawn, and instructions not written
On how to survive without getting germ-smitten
Until then fellow Lymies find a doc, don’t get bitten
