If you had asked me a few years ago about Plum Island, I would have thought it was the big square cart at the market holding allthe plums – or maybe a new club downtown for the kids to go dancing. Otherwise it was non-existent on my radar screen. I have no intention of launching into conspiracy theories about things I have no evidence or opinion about thus far.
On the other hand, after hearing a bit of this and a bit of that, one cannot overlook the atrocities that impact each one of us through Lyme disease as it rages through our lives and homes and wonder the origin. After having one of those days and pondering the quagmire that our government, the media, big industry and insurance companies have created, I cannot help but have a heavy heart in the face of chronic and devasting Lyme.
While this heaviness laid upon my heart, I felt myself almost unable to breath. I began to do my devotional for the day to clear my head and relieve the anguish of my heart. The Lord answered me most certainly.
The government will be on his shoulders…He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:67
He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he. Deut 32:4
…Because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. Daniel 4:37
We might not live in a country with a perfect government, with honorable systems and industry – but we will someday. Jesus will be the perfect, righteous, just leader of the new heaven and the new earth. We don’t live in a society where everyone and everthing is trustworthy and fair, but we can someday.
God’s ways are perfect and He can be trusted. All His ways are just and right.
I am left muttering all day – then Jesus come quickly. Amen.
