On my commute to and from the kid’s school, I pass a landfill on the south side of the highway. The tractors and backhoes are always busy moving dirt and trash around like a chess game that never ends. As I drove by recently, I began thinking about what traditional doctors are doing with Lyme disease.
It’s like that trash in the landfill.
No matter how much you stir it up and move it around, there is still going to be trash that comes up. There is trash everywhere in that big pile. No amount of dirt can cover it up completely – plus the new stuff comes in every day. You cannot deny that it is landfill. I giant gaping hole in the earth filled with debris.
When I was a little girl, my mother would crush up my vitamins (because I have had problems with my health forever and because I couldn’t swallow pills) and try to disguise them in something she called “peanut butter candy”. It was a homemade concoction of gooey, oily all natural peanut butter, honey and oats. She would “mix” up the vitamins in a ratio that was heavy to the side of vitamin, and low to the “candy”. There was really no food in the world that could mask the amount of foul tasting vitamins she was asserting. It wouldn’t matter how much she mixed it up – it was chunks of vitamins that tasted like dirt – how do you cover that up with anything?
In the same way you cannot cover up a landfill and my mother couldn’t disguise what was in her “peanut butter candy”, we cannot ignore Lyme disease and the path of destruction it is creating.
I want for you to secure your happiness again. Feel victorious in the face of an overwhelming enemy in Lyme disease. Get a grip on this illness and learn to live again. This story will ring true for you – get ready for a shift in your thinking!
