Psalm 138 – The Midst of Trouble

I know for all who suffer from Lyme, they can agree that it is the Midst of Trouble. There are so many ups and downs it feels completely like riding through the back roads in Arkansas. What I can tell you is that you have to hold fast to the good times, the good days and live it to the full. Most people will tell you not to push it on the good days – well only part of that is true.

In Lyme, you don’t know when a good day will come again or stay for how long. So LIVE IT UP. Go do something crazy – take a run, waterski, climb a rock wall, go out to eat and take in a movie, ride bikes with your kids – whatever you can. The next day you might pay for it, but you might have anyway.

None of us knows what tomorrow brings, so suit up and be spontaneously aware of those good days and ENJOY THEM!

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life – you stretch out your hand against this Lyme disease, with your right hand you saved me. Psalm 138:7
